2009 Winners:MCCEA
would like to congratulate these 8 high school seniors for being selected to
receive the Morris County Council of Education Associations Scholarship Award
for 2009. Part of the award requirements is participation in an education
program at college. Out of about 60 applications, this pool of candidates were
probably the most academically ambitious, diversely aware, and community
service oriented candidates we have ever seen. Many applied to highly selective colleges with an equal
number of acceptances. Each student wrote essays that were heartfelt and sincere,
making the committee’s process of selection very difficult.
