Peace Circles provide an opportunity to have respectful dialogue among differences in life experience and perspective. Talking circles, originating from indigenous cultures, are intentional spaces where the core beliefs and values allows for everyone’s voice to be heard while being flexible in its approach. We are living in polarizing times, and peace circles are designed to bring us together in community, understanding and progression. These strategies help model a practice that can be effective in relationship-building and critical inquiry in the classroom.
