MCCEA would like to welcome Gene Behme to the position of MCCEA vice president. Gene comes to us from the Parsippany-Troy Hills district where he has worked as an elementary education teacher for over 20 years. He has a Master’s in Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University.
His involvement in union activities started early with the position of association representative. He has also been involved with the legislative action team, the Summer Fellowship, the 200K Conversations Campaign, the Organizing 4 Education organization, and Uniserv consultant group. He also serves on the Workplace Health and Safety Committee for both his local and the NJEA. He has been on the MCCEA Executive Board for several years as Morris County representative on the NJEA Delegate Assembly. Gene is a member’s rights advocate of the highest caliber and we look forward to his continued service in this new role. Congratulations, Gene!
